Description
Modern Art for Kids Classes are fun and educational classes designed for children aged 7-12 yrs. This is a term of 8 classes where children will explore the various modern art styles in a practical creative child friendly approach. Kids will explore the various modern art trends by learning about famous artists. They will create their own art pieces each class inspired by the work of famous modern artists like Picasso, Matisse, Dali and so on.
Techniques used in classes: painting, mixed media, sculpting
The classes are led by professionals who are passionate about everything Art and Children.
Sonja Horgan. Sonja has a BA in Fine Art Painting and a Foundation in Art Therapy Certificate, she is a member of several professional art associations. with 20+ years in teaching art for young children
Zsófi Szommer. Zsófi’s brain child is The Happy Pottery an inclusive Art&Creative studio offering various activities beside pottery painting for all abilities, genders and ages. Zsófi has 20+ years experience in creative facilitation applied in various industries. She is also an Art tutor for Kid pottery Classes in KCAT Art Center and in her own studio.
Classes are held at The Happy Pottery creative studio on Wednesdays 3.30-5 pm on the following dates (2023):

At the end of the term we will be holding a Christmas Exhibition where children will be able to share their masterpieces with the family and the public. (Date TBD, price inclusive of exhibition)
